- Your Takeaway – a suite of Twitter-based tools you can use for personal niche marketing
If you're on Twitter, you probably are aware:
Your Twitter helps get the word out about your products and offerings
When you post an update to Twitter, it can:
- Be retweeted by your network (reaching a broader audience)
- Appear in sites that gather related tweets (thus increasing links related to you)
- Be broadcasted to other sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and the like
to name only a few benefits that exist.
We at Marketing Steele not only use Twitter extensively (you can follow us here) but we also forcefully take advantage of a multitude of Twitter tools to help us behind the scenes. You can do the same thing; here's a taste to whet your appetite.
1.) Enable 24×7 Twitter Tweeting
Check out our Tweet stream. You'll see that we send out helpful information quite often, even when we're asleep (even Alec can't work more than 39 hours a day!). We have devised a unique usage of Social Oomph that handles our Twitter account when we're not sitting in front of the computer.
It's surprisingly effective. By constantly appearing in Twitter with topnotch information, we showcase both our knowledge and our willingness to share critical information. It's a critical component to our marketing and we can highly recommend using it.

2.) Tie your Twitter tweets to your other social networking accounts
Depending upon what tool you use, you can set it up so your updates are broadcasted to multiple networks.
Tweetdeck will allow you to post to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Myspace.
Ping.fm will allow you to post to over 50 social networks.
AtomKeep handles dozens of networks as well, including many job-related resources.
And of course, the above resources are free.
3.) Add your Twitter Tweets to your blog
While we do not yet do this ourselves, others swear by it; we'd be remiss if we failed to mention it.
You can create a daily blog post of all your Twitter tweets by downloading the plugin
Install it, activate it, and select "Create a daily digest blog post from your tweets." That's all you have to do.
4.) Ensure your blog posts are automatically sent to Twitter.
If you have installed Feedburner to your blog, you can also use their Socialize function. This ensures that every time your blog feed is updated, your Twitter account updates as well. It's simple to set up – log into your Feedburner account, select "Publicize", select "Socialize", and add your Twitter account information.
