The first rule of Niche Marketing is:

Niche Marketing is all about you.

To hell with your audience.

If you don't have an interest in your niche marketing, your potential audience will have NO reason to give you money.  After all, you won't be meeting their needs….because you don't care about your niche.

Would you want to give your hard-earned money to such an individual?

I didn't think so.

If you intend to make a living via niche marketing, you must choose a niche that you can write about until the cows come home. 

No "maybe", not "follow the money"…you MUST.  Because I don't give a damn if you dive into the most profitable niche alive; if it bores you more than changing motor oil, you will find your excitement dries up faster than stale mustard left on the BBQ grill.

Shut your ears to the idiots who clamor, build a site for THIS profitable niche or plunder THAT profitable.  Certainly that can work if you're an experienced niche marketer who knows how to promote that site to his targeted audience.

If not…you'll be hosed.  You'll spend days if not weeks or months to hand-craft a helpful niche site…only to see it rendered invisible and useless because nobody stumbles across it.

Funny how the gurus never tell you this.  Ask yourself now – if you did build a niche site, just how would people discover it?  Would your site show up automatically in the search engines, guaranteeing you free traffic?  Would you have to spend hours and days at niche forums to build up a reputation?  Would you have to dedicate weeks to even start to see a trickle of potential buyers?

Plain and simple, you want to be interested in the niche you're marketing.  You want to be seized by a burning desire to become the very best in your niche…because when you're viewed as the best, your own personal audience and fanbase grows.

Your list grows.

People in your niche begin to listen to your advice and your ideas….and become far more willing to buy based upon your recommendations.

The more people who listen to you, the more people who willing turn to you for ideas and direction.  The more people who turn to you, the more people who buy your niche products and your niche affiliate products that you recommend.

That's how you make money in niche marketing; you become the beacon others follow.

If you're not a beacon, you're just a paving stone everyone steps on, on their way to discover the real authorities in your niche.

Take it from us.  Want to learn niche marketing?  Love your niche.  If you don't, visitors who would have been your customers will find someone else who meets their needs better than you do.

Now THAT would be a shame.
